  I think the next book in the series is better than this one, but this book was fun to read. Child of Destiny seems to be an introduction, so a lot of background stuff is presented. There are some nice action scenes though. The fight scenes are excellent! I like Kara, Anita, and Ezra, but I hate Ral/5.
